Sunpine strengthens technology development to meet growing demand – recruits Gustav Lindberg as Technical Director

Sunpine is strengthening its organization and recruiting Gustav Lindberg to the role of Technical Director. He will take up his position in early 2026.

Gustav Lindberg most recently comes from the engineering and consulting company Afry, where he has held several leading roles over the past eight years – most recently as section manager with responsibility for assignments within the paper and pulp industry, among other things. He also has previous experience with Sunpine, where Afry was an external partner in the establishment of parts of Sunpine's latest process line.

– Gustav is a skilled project manager with extensive experience in product and process development. He will strengthen our organization in a situation where one of our most important focus areas is to increase capacity to meet the growing demand we see for our products, says David Öquist, CEO of Sunpine.

For Gustav Lindberg, the combination of technology, development and sustainability was a strong driving force in the decision to take the step to Sunpine.

– As Pitebo, I have followed Sunpine since the beginning and seen how the company has grown from an idea to a successful business. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next step in that journey – to combine my experience of industrial processes with a business that is at the forefront of green transition, says Gustav Lindberg.

He particularly highlights Sunpine's innovative power and clear direction forward.

– Sunpine is strongly positioned in an international market that is growing rapidly, and at the same time a company that wants to move forward, grow and develop. Since I have worked with Sunpine before, I also know that this innovative power and driving force is present among all employees at Sunpine – and it is a very inspiring environment to be part of.

The recruitment of Gustav Lindberg is part of Sunpine's continued focus on development, innovation and capacity expansion in line with the increased demand for renewable diesel.
