Sunpine increases support for Piteå IF DFF – becomes Gold Sponsor

Piteå IF DFF has been a source of pride for the region and a strong voice in Swedish women's football for over 40 years. But it's not just the history that impresses – it's also the vision for the future. Women's football is growing rapidly, both nationally and internationally, and Piteå IF DFF wants to be part of that journey. We at Sunpine want to be part of making it possible.

– That is why we choose to provide extra financial support and become a Gold Sponsor to the club. Increased costs, long trips and increasingly fierce competition mean that the conditions have changed. But Piteå IF DFF has always had something that weighs more heavily than resources – the mentality, the will and the strength to be stronger together, says Jonas Lindberg at Sunpine.

For Piteå IF DFF, Sunpine's expanded support is an important prerequisite for the coming seasons.

– Sunpine's support means a lot to us as a club and association. In a rapidly growing and increasingly demanding football world, collaborations like these are crucial for us to continue competing at the highest level and stay where we want to be – in Swedish elite football, says Mari Wigren, chairman of Piteå DFF.

The association not only invests in its elite team, but also builds a safe and developing environment for young talents. Through projects such as Lagkamrat, which celebrates 10 years this year, Piteå IF DFF shows that community involvement and football go hand in hand.

– For us at Sunpine, the collaboration is of course about supporting local elite sports, but also about supporting faith in the future. Sunpine converts waste products into fossil-free crude diesel – which helps reduce the transport sector's climate impact. In the same way that we want to show the way towards a more sustainable industry, Piteå IF DFF shows the way towards sustainable sports, says Jonas Lindberg.
