VildaKidz in collaboration with Sunpine
Today, on World Environment Day, SunPine begins a collaboration with VildaKidz as a Platinum Sponsor.
– They do fantastic work with children in the county that we want to support, that we can do it through work that promotes the environment and sustainability feels good, says Magnus Edin, CEO, SunPine.
VildaKidz's work with children's activities in Norrbotten has been praised nationally and received international attention. In fact, VildaKidz was invited by Mark Zuckerberg himself to a meeting on Facebook, but they chose to decline because they had projects booked with children who had already registered. Throughout the year, VildaKidz carries out various children's activities with the support of sponsors.
Anna Karlsson, VildaKidz:
– Today, on World Environment Day itself, we can proudly present our new enabler for wild environmental work in schools. Sunpine in Piteå, which was awarded just like us as "Climate Fighters from the North", is contributing 50,000 kronor so that we can do environmental work in preschools, schools and leisure areas around Norrbotten where we talk and do practical tasks with the kids that relate to the environment.
– Children are our future, as is the environment, so this is a very important collaboration and we are so happy that Magnus Edin and his staff are stepping in and supporting this.
Magnus Edin, CEO, SunPine:
– For us at SunPine, this is a great way to give back to the local community, but also to activate environmental issues among young people in a good way. Sustainability is an important cornerstone of our business, including social sustainability.
The project will highlight various concrete climate-smart things that we can all think about in our everyday lives. A work that is close to SunPine's operations where they produce green pine diesel that reaches the market via Preem as the world's only Nordic Ecolabelled diesel.
