Sunpine strengthens the organization – Linda Rosén gets key role as production ramps up
Piteå company Sunpine, the world's largest producer of Raw Tall Diesel, is now recruiting for several key roles to meet growing demand. Linda Rosén will take up the position of Head of Operations on December 1.
Linda Rosén has experience in product and business development from companies such as Volvo and Astra Zeneca. In Piteå, she has been Group CEO of Lindbäcks Group and CEO of Piteå Näringsfastigheter. She has also run her own company with a focus on Lean and leadership coaching. As Head of Operations, she will now lead Sunpine's operational organization within production and maintenance.
– I have been curious about Sunpine for a long time – partly because it is a company that contributes to the green transition, and partly because of the many competent employees who I look forward to working with. I also perceive Sunpine as a company that really wants to contribute to local development in Piteå, and that is important to me, who grew up here.
Sunpine's CEO David Öquist looks forward to welcoming the new Head of Operations.
– Sunpine will be an even better company with Linda in place. She has the experience and coaching leadership we need to take the next step on our expansion journey, he says.
Several heavy recruitments
Sunpine is the world's largest producer of Raw Tall Diesel, an advanced biofuel feedstock made from waste products from the paper and pulp industry. The raw tall diesel is further refined into biofuel by the company's customers and enables fossil-free transport on roads, at sea and in the air.
According to Argus, demand for renewable diesel is expected to increase by 300 percent in Europe by 2030. To meet this development, Sunpine has strengthened its organization with a number of recruitments this fall. In addition to Linda Rosén as COO, Sunpine has appointed a new sustainability manager and strengthened its marketing department. A new technical manager will also be appointed shortly.
– We are currently facing the luxury problem of having full order books. There is a clear need to increase production capacity, and these recruitments will prepare us for the future, says David Öquist.
Linda Rosén will take up her position as Head of Operations at the beginning of December and is looking forward to stepping into her new role.
– I am excited to really get to know this company and help develop it further, from its already strong base.
