Sunpine is praised for green transformation!

SunPine is praised for its positive climate impact. Climate Fighter of the Year in the North in green transformation:

– We at Energikontor Norr have the great pleasure of congratulating you at SunPine on the Climate Fighters from Norr 2018 award! says Katarina Delsing, CEO, Energikontor Norr.

Energikontor Norr, which runs projects within energy and the environment in Norrbotten, annually awards an environmental award called Climate Fighter in the North.

– We are giving out this award to highlight the companies that make it possible for others to make their energy transition. They are not always visible, says Inger E Pedersen, business developer at Energikontor Norr. 

In 2018, this year's Climate Fighter in the North within green transformation was awarded to SunPine, the jury's justification:

"Green Transformation – SunPine. For their work in giving us a greener path forward. Their tall pine diesel contributes to reducing CO2 emissions on Swedish roads by 250,000 tons per year. Now they are investing in increasing production by another 50 %, which is an important contribution to the transport sector's transition to fossil-free fuels."

Climate fighters honored at major energy conference Enriching the world in Norrbotten on November 6 in Luleå at Clarion Sense. David Lundman and Ulrika Hagman represented SunPine at the award ceremony and received diplomas and applause.

– It is of course incredibly fun to represent a company that is so concretely contributing to a climate-smarter Sweden. And to be recognized in this way feels fantastic. Who wouldn't want the title "climate fighter" on their business card?

Ulrika Hagman, project manager investments, SunPine:

– It's extra nice that they're noticing that we're now investing and expanding our capacity at SunPine in Piteå. We'll be able to increase our production of tall oil diesel, which reaches the market via Preem as Sweden's only Nordic Ecolabelled diesel, Evolution diesel.
