Major new laboratory inaugurated
The first phase of SunPine’s expansion is complete. New lab enjoys inaugural celebrations.
“The need for analysis and control has continued to increase over the years,” declared a satisfied Valeri Naydenov, R&D Manager at SunPine.
So far this year, SunPine has been characterized by ‘excuse the mess, we’re rebuilding,’ but now it’s all about moving in and inauguration. First off the mark was an entirely new laboratory built alongside the new office premises on Haraholmen in Piteå, to which a completely new floor was added.
R&D Manager Valeri Naydenov is extremely satisfied with the investment:
“This is our third lab in a row, and we note how needs have continued to increase over the years. It feels absolutely great being able to inaugurate the lab today, and I know it will be very important for our SunPine of tomorrow.”
Valeri then took the opportunity to raise a toast to the new lab using test tubes, joined by a smiling CEO Magnus Edin, who went on to say:
“I would like to thank everyone whose efforts have helped us carry out the move and who made it possible for us to put our new laboratory into production. It can be a good idea for us to take a bit of a break and celebrate; there’s so much going on here these days that we get blasé about the pace of things. We’re in the middle of an expansive phase with major investments.”
After the summer holidays we’re planning to open an entirely new office, and during 2020 we expect the new, second plant to be finished. An investment programme of more than SEK 400 million will then have come to fruition.
