Can you tell us briefly about what you do at SunPine?
– I am a shutdown manager. Once a year we shut down the factory to carry out maintenance, service and inspections that cannot be done during operation. My job as shutdown manager involves working with coordination and preparations for the shutdown. Because when the shutdown starts, everything should just keep going, says Fredrik Lernstål.

What is it about your job at SunPine that motivates you?
That it's a small company that's growing. Everyone is very close to the decisions, there's a strong feeling of being involved. It's fun to go here, it feels like I'm making a difference, he says and continues:
We manufacture renewable products such as green diesel. It's a unique process, our facility is the only one of its kind in the world, and we're also expanding, and being part of that journey is great fun! The feeling here is that nothing is impossible, that everything can be solved. And that feeling makes you extra motivated.

How would you describe the work environment?
– We work in very new premises, and for me, who spends a lot of time in the office, it's great! For everyone who works at this facility, safety is paramount. In general, no matter where you work, I think we have a good working environment.

And what is the atmosphere like between colleagues?
– There is a good atmosphere here. It is open, all questions are welcome. No one keeps anything to themselves, everyone wants to share and help each other. I think it is because it is a young company. They have not stuck in old ruts.

If someone was curious about starting a job at SunPine and asked you what it was like, what would you say?
– For me, who hasn't been here that long, SunPine is sustainability. We help make it a little better by producing renewable alternatives to fossil fuels. That was one of the reasons I wanted to start working here. It's nice to feel like I'm doing something. And if someone gets the opportunity to start at SunPine, I think they should do it, says Fredrik Lernstål.
